About our clinic

Adelaide Sports was founded by a thirst for knowledge; three progressive and passionate healthcare practitioners coming together to better understand our patient’s and their unique human body. A strong collaborative approach allows us to better understand the complexities of movement and pain and allows us to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients. Care is deeply ingrained in our culture at Adelaide Sports, with each practitioner demonstrating a deep understanding of the physical, emotional and social impacts of your pain. We are committed to integrating this level of patient care with the most up to date techniques in our fields to ensure that our patients are meeting their health and wellness goals.

Meet Our Chiropractors

We have a wide range of skill sets between our Chiropractors. All of them can help you. However if you’re booking in someone under 7 please do so with Sophie or Melanie as they have done a lot of extra training in this area.

Sam Millard

Sam has worked with some of the leading Chiropractors in Australia both in Sydney and his home town of Adelaide. He has a strong interest in neurology, having studied with Chiropractic Development International. He has a keen interest in sports both as a player of Australian Rules football and cricket and as a team Chiropractor for a Sydney AFL Team . He enjoys working with athletes and has a passion for working in a team of health professionals.

Caleb Noles

Caleb graduated from RMIT University in 2018 and after practising in Melbourne for 2 years, has recently moved back to SA. Caleb grew up in Naracoorte and developed a passion for sport from a young age which strongly influenced his interest in health and the human body. Caleb has a strong interest in the treatment and management of sporting injuries along with chronic pain and headache management. Caleb enjoys tailoring individual treatment plans for each patient incorporating hands on treatment such as adjustments, massage and dry needling, with exercise rehabilitation. Caleb is currently completing his certification in Sports Chiropractic to further his knowledge in managing athletes and sports injuries.

Sophie Dean

Dr Sophie has spent the better part of the last ten years working in family based chiropractic clinics in Adelaide, South Australia. As a part of her further education, Dr Sophie has completed the Inspiral Paediatrics training, focusing on the care of children- from babies to adolescents. This has been part of developing an integrated, whole family approach to chiropractic care. Dr Sophie uses a range of techniques including both manual and low force adjusting as required for each individual patient.

Melanie Schultz

During her experience in private practice, Melanie has undertaken continual ongoing professional development to broaden her skills and help a wide range of patients from newborn babies to the elderly. She has a keen interest in sports, pregnancy and oral dysfunction in babies and children. She has completed further study through a diploma in Sports Chiropractic and training with the Tongue Tie Institute.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Chiropractic adjustments are the main tool used to help improve your joints range of motion, decrease pain and improve control. We use a variety of adjustments and tailor them to each condition.

Dry Needling

A treatment technique where sterile acupuncture needles are used to release trigger points of any muscle in the body in order to reduce muscular pain.

Injury Triage

If your condition cannot be treated by your Chiropractor you will be appropriately triaged. You will be
referred for the best modality of imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI), with exceptional
communication with your GP and other health care practitioners a long the way.

Soft Tissue Techniques

Massage, fast and slow stretching muscles can be an effective way to get your body moving and reduce pain. Depending on your condition our clinicians utilize a variety of soft tissue techniques..

Paediatric Chiropractic

Mel and Sophie both have done extensive additional training in the area of Paediatric Chiropractic. Including but not limited to assessment of primative reflexes, development management and tounge/oral function.
