Established in 2003 . Chiropractic at Magill has grown to become one of Adelaide’s leading chiropractic practices focused on the accurate diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the spine and nervous system. clinicians within the practice are committed to giving you an individual diagnosis, explanation and treatment based on your clinical findings.

What sets Chiropractic at Magill apart from other practices around Australia is their well established group of allied health professionals they work closely with ensuring patients are provided with the most appropriate care for their individual circumstance.

Once a thorough history and physical exam is taken a plan of treatment is set out by each clinician. This treatment plan is especially tailored for each condition and may involve some or no chiropractic. However as a general rule we find most conditions improve faster and stay better for longer with a multimodal approach. The clinicians at Chiropractic at Magill are skilled in this area due to their commitment to building and developing relationships with Australia’s leading health professionals.

In addition to a refined set of skills in spinal diagnosis and functional neurology, Chiropractic at Magill offers paediatric services via a skilled practitioners in Dr Sophie Dean who have an additional skill set in looking after children from birth onwards.

About Chiropractic

Chiropractic, founded by DD Palmer in 1895 is a Primary health care profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on general health.

Like most health professions, Chiropractic is a very diverse profession made up of many different techniques and philosophies and personalities. There are however some constants between all Chiropractors. Chiropractic students in Australia study along side Medical colleagues and develop protocols for treatment from common pool of resources. Chiropractors in Australia study for a minimum of five years at three of Australia’s leading universities

Chiropractics diversity can be seen as a weakness as there can be large differences in care. There are some chiropractors who are orthopaedically focused with strong skills in diagnosis. There are others who prefer to treat the spine with a more vitalistic approach and there is grey area in between those two. There are different techniques and styles and also specialist areas such as sports and paediatrics. We like to think of this as a strength of Chiropractic as there is a style of Chiropractic care for everyone.
